See the unseen…Know the unknown

Hi everyone…this is not just a blogsite…this is my story of travelling through the world…knowing everything that comes across…culture-traditions-food-lifestyle

I am Sumita Sen. The passion for traveling has been there in me for quite a long time. When I was around 9 or 10 years old I loved studying geography. I had a map book at home. Flipping through the pages and seeing different continents, countries and finding out various places including mountains and rivers gave me immense happiness. There is no better way of getting to know different cultures and lifestyle than traveling. I love to explore each and every aspect of life and live it fully. I have some dreams which I will definitely share with you all and hope they will be realized someday!

I wish to….

Featured Destination

Travelling is not just my hobby – it is something more than that. I have enlisted more than 500 places that I would love to visit….the list keeps on growing….Below are few featured destinations as of now. First India – an amazing country where as the proverb goes, “at every five miles you will come across different dialect”. World’s second most populated, diverse in terms of culture, climate, food-habits yet a very unique place, India is the place where you will find a distinct thing in even chaotic scenario 🙂 Then next one is USA – my second overseas trip after Bangladesh. As soon as I landed in JFK I fell in love with the place. Even after so many years the time spent in the USA in back in 2009 is the most memorable and happiest period of my life. Third one is Thailand – heaven for the backpackers. It was this country I first visited after marriage – my first visa on arrival destination. After visiting this awesome country I added “visit all visa-on-arrival countries” to my dream-list. Fourth featured destination is Cambodia – home to world’s world’s largest temple “Angkor Wat”, the complex is so huge that you need at least a week to see all of the temples. People are very kind and simple. And most importantly I fell in love with Cambodian Food/Khmer cuisines

Live your life free….yes! We often tend to fall in the trap of immediate happiness ignoring our true love…”Do what you love not the one what others want you to do”…It may take time but slowly you will overcome all the barriers including the one present inside you!

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the things you did do. So throw off the bowlines! Sail away from safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails.” – Many of us have dreams…dreams to see the unseen, dreams to do something yet we are afraid to take the risk. We are afraid to come out of our comfort zone. I find this quote very motivating and it ignites the fire in us and tells us to come out of the cocoon. Dream to explore the diverse yet unique earth!

I have dreams…lots of dreams….most of them have been there in me forever….few have been there recently…but my basic self is nomadic…I feel restless when I can’t do what I want for “my dreams are my life”
