Easy to prepare evening snack

These days it often rains. Rainy day and fritters combination is superb! I can’t stop enjoying rain while sitting in the veranda and munch yummy fritters!

Ingredients:

  1. Chana dal 100gm
  2. Onion 3nos. large size
  3. Lemon 1no.
  4. Green chillies 10nos.
  5. Ginger garlic paste 1 teaspoon
  6. Mint leaves 4-5nos.
  7. Bay leaf 1no.
  8. Cinnamon small strand
  9. Cardamom 3-4nos. small size
  10. Curry leaves 5-6nos.
  11. Cumin-coriander powder 1 teaspoon
  12. Turmeric powder 3 teaspoon
  13. Salt as per taste
1. Soak 100gm chana dal overnight or atleast 4-5hours. Make rough thick paste.
2. Chop roughly 3 large size onions
3. Cut one lemon. Roast 5-6 curry leaves. Chop 10 green chillies. Grind cardamom and cinnamon (garam masala). Roughly Chop mint leaves. Roast bay leaf and crush it
4. Mix chopped onion to chana dal paste
5. Add garam masala, crushed curry leaves, lemon juice, chopped green chillies, crushed bay leaf, ginger garlic paste, mint leaf pieces, cumin-coriander powder, turmeric powder, salt
6. Mix all the ingredients
7. Pour oil to hot kadai. Make flat vada (patties shape) of the paste and add to hot oil. Flip them after 5-10 sec. Cook until the vada gets golden brownish color.
Serve chana dal vada hot!
