Jackfruit tree is usually seen on slightly uplands. Raw or ripe – jackfruit tastes delicious. Now (May-June) is the season for jackfruit to ripen. Ripe jackfruit is sweet and it is full of nutrients. Hence I thought of preparing a sweet fish from ripe jackfruit flesh.
Ingredients:
- Ripe jackfruit flesh: 12-15 large pods (without seed)
- Flour (maida): 150g
- Suji: 100g
- Coconut: 1 no. (grated)
- Sugar: 4 tablespoon (can be increased or decreased based on personal preference)
- Ghee: 1 teaspoon (optional)
Method: 1. Blend ripe jackfruit flesh with thick consistency
2. Grate one no. of coconut
3. Now add first blended ripe jackfruit paste to maida, then suji, and then grated coconut.
4. Mix all the ingredients properly.
5. Keep the mixture aside for 5 minutes.
6. Then add ghee (optional) and sugar (as per personal preference).
7. Mix them again.
8. Heat oil in pan.
9. Add small amount on the pan one by one and fry them in low flame until they turn brownish color.
10. Serve the fritters hot.
